Nick Linder“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this:  to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted by the world."   James 1:27

Welcome! Thanks for checking out our web page. We are dedicated to serving people in Jesus name and bringing them the Good News.

This missions scholarship fund is dedicated to our son Nick who passed away February 24, 2011 at age 20 years, 6 months. The story of Nick's life is one of joy, excitement, hope, expectations, exhuberance, thankfulness, sadness, fear, depression  and tragedy. In all this we were there, experiencing a roller coaster ride from the heights of joy to the bitter valley of death. Our Lord has himself walked through this valley and conquered it, so we need fear no evil when we find ourselves in it. We are victorious in His glorious name.

Nick went to Reynosa, Mexico on a short term missions trip February, 2009. The group he was with worked at an orphanage. Nick came back very excited and wanted to return. He even talked of spending his life working there. This was Nick's senior year of high school. Two short years later, Nick, our precious Nick, would be gone, a victim of drugs and alcohol. What should have been a bright future full of wonderful experiences was cut short because he made bad choices encouraged by the bad company he fell in with. (1 Corinthians 15:33)

The last month of Nick's life saw miraculous changes. He had been in treatment centers for the past year. His last few weeks he was in Teen Challenge, Duluth, MN and Place of Hope, St. Cloud, MN. This is where he experienced a change of heart. His last letter written two days before he died confirms this. People he lived with told us they heard him pray every night in his bunk. We are so thankful for God's mercy through all this. We know he is safe and completely healed for eternity.

Nick was hoping to go on another mission trip to Mexico, February, 2012. This fund will help enable young people with a heart for this work to go in his place and tell his story, warning and encouraging others as God allows. We invite everyone who can to help build this fund. We serve a big God, lets think big. There is much to do for the kingdom and time is short. Lets all be about our Father's business.  God bless you all.

Sincerely, John and Judy
